Biography
Dr. Czub graduated as a veterinarian from the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, in 1984, and has worked at various institutes in Germany, USA and Canada since then. He chose a scientific career and obtained his Ph.D. in veterinary virology in 1988, and his “Habilitation” on retroviral infections of the brain in 1998. Dr. Czub’s activities in high containment laboratories and as a veterinarian on-duty in animal facilities resulted in several appointments to review design plans for high containment laboratories to be built in various countries. Dr. Czub is member of the External Advisory Board for EPIZONE, which is a network of scientists to improve research on preparedness, prevention, detection, and control of epizootic diseases within Europe.
